FindIt - Lost & Found Web Application

FindIt is a campus-based lost and found system that allows students and staff to report, search for, and claim lost items. Users can make an account, login, upload item details, search by filters, and contact finders or owners directly.

User Registration/Login: Secure access to submit and track posts.
Item Submission Forms: Includes fields for description, photo upload, category, and campus location.
Real-Time Item Browsing: Filters by item type, time/date, and location.
Admin Panel: Review, approve, or reject submissions.
Email Notifications: Automatically alert users when similar items are found.
Mobile-Responsive Interface: Accessible on all devices.

- Designed and implemented the front-end interface with forms, search/filter options, and item cards
- Integrated a login/logout system and administrator access panel
- Worked on styling, layout, and responsive UI using custom CSS
- Implemented a real-time chat-room for students to communicate their lost or found items. Anyone logged in and using the website can see and chat with others.
- Added a notification system that emails students when their items have been discovered .
- Contributed to early testing and UI debugging
- Website is still in progress and will be complete 8/1/25
